AAA Fair Credit Foundation Receives Good Citizenship Grant from State Farm Insurance

Salt Lake City, UT – January 10, 2007 - Tamara Pachl, Community Outreach Officer and Chris Hudson, Public Relations Officer for State Farm Insurance, present Preston Cochrane, President and CEO of AAA Fair Credit Foundation with a $10,000 contribution as part of State Farm's commitment to the community. The main purpose of the Good Citizenship Grant is to increase financial literacy education and awareness in Utah. AAA Fair Credit Foundation plans to use this contribution to enhance personal financial security through outreach and education.

This contribution will help pay for the cost to publish, print, and distribute financial literacy education materials necessary to teach people from all ages and income levels basic financial management skills. These resource materials are used in all of AAA Fair Credit Foundation's financial education classes and programs.

In 2006, AAA Fair Credit Foundation's credit counseling services and debt management programs helped over 10,000 individuals experiencing financial difficulties, and has already seen an increase in demand for its services this year.

President and CEO, Preston Cochrane praised the move, saying "This generous grant from State Farm will allow us to continue to reach out to those most in need, and will enable us to help even more financially challenged individuals."

Programs and services provided by AAA Fair Credit Foundation include personal financial counseling, credit counseling, credit report reviews, individual development accounts, collection call protection, identity theft education, employee assistance programs, asset buying assisting, tax preparation, educational workshops and debt assistance through their debt management program.

State Farm is committed to meeting the needs of the community by focusing their giving in two areas: Safe Neighbors (safety) and Strong Neighborhoods (community development).
